Patricia L. Marburger, age 89, of Mars, died on Monday morning, May 22, 2017 in the comfort of her home.

Born in Valencia, PA on January 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Emerson H. “Bill” and Anna Linton English.

Patty ran the Heart Station at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp. in the 1970’s.  She was active in Mars having served many years on Mars Borough Council and also belonged to the Mars Historical Society.

She was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Shirley Brosenitsch of Mars and Barbara Stephenson (James) of Waynesburg, her niece, Paula Eisenreich (Leo) of Mars, and a grand nephew, Jason Hardt of Winchester,VA and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Marburger, who died on August 6, 1994 and by a sister, Peggy Trout.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
