- About Us
As we being 2018 you may be encountering some of the firsts that occur when your loved one is no longer with you. Maybe they involved Thanksgiving and Christmas and you need to share the burden of those encounters. I hope you are able to find some moments to reflect and maybe even have a hint of asmile for a memory that you remember about your loved one.
We would like to invite you to join us this Spring to share how you are doing, to touch base with the others who attend our GriefShare and ask, that if you know someone who is in need of a group such as ours, please bring them along. Our weekly group is a place where you donot have to have it all together. You’ll find people who truly understand the raw emotions and difficult struggles you are facing. Please join us on Monday, February 12, 2018 as we meet at Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Avenue in Mars. Please enter the church at the rear doubledoors. We meet every Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
GriefShare sessions are for those who have lost a loved one through death and is open to all. We strive to make confidentiality the cornerstone of the group and remind you that anything that is said in theg roup stays in the group. We don’t compare our grief to others in the group. Each participant’s grief is unique (like your thumbprint). GriefShare is a biblically based and Christ-centered grief program.
The GriefShare class is a very informal type class. It is a grief recovery support group and is held on Monday evenings. Our next session is as follows:
February 12, 2018 through May 7, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m. Our meetings are held at Mars United Presbyterian Church. There is no cost to attend the GriefShare. GriefShare is sponsored and provided by the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, John Hanovick, Supervisor. Please call McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home at 724-625-2900 or email the facilitator, Denise, at email@example.com if you have any questions. There is no cost to attend the program and no childcare available.
In case of bad weather we will follow the Mars School District snow cancellation policy.
