Helen (Irene) Widmaier, age 101, formerly of Shaler, died Saturday, January 14, 2017, in The Arbors at Valencia Woods, in Valencia.

Born in Bethel, VT, on January 26, 1915, she was the daughter of the late, Francesco and Orsalina Peduzzi Ceresa.

She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, in Etna, where she belonged to the Women of Emanuel Lutheran Church.

She worked various jobs throughout her lifetime.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Widmaier, whom she married May 3, 1934, who died January 6, 2002; Two daughters, Lynda Huffman and June Gmuer; sister, Jeanett Herforth; and a brother, Lorenzo Ceresa.

Surviving are her son Richard Widmaier of Gibsonia, nine Grandchildren, and many Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. Service and interment are private.  Arrangements by McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA  16046.
