I worked with Bud Sr. at CE Refractories in the late 70's and still remember the look in Buds eyes when he talked about his son. Bud Sr. was also the reason my sons nickname is Bud.

Whether it be my first thought of you in the morning or my last thought at night, I can still hear your laugh. Last week, I was just so saddened by the thought of not being able to talk to you, to hug you, and laugh like we did, that I prayed to God for strength as I wept on my way to work. Then it came over me like a bright light. I was to make the day how you made people's days. I had a "Be Like Bud" day. Providing a helping hand to the community, buying donuts for coworkers, giving bigger tips to hard workers, making people laugh at a funny story, smiling at people who seemed to need it and coming home and hugging and kissing my family. This is how you lived every day...thoughtful, kind, generous, with love never ceasing. You were always a shining star to me and I will forever carry your spirit in my heart. I promise, I will have more, "Be Like Bud" days. I love you my dear nephew and I will honor you until we meet again. I love you so much and miss you every day. Thank you, Lynn and Bud, for giving me one of my life's greatest treasures, your son. I love you.

My name is Alida and I worked with Bud at Novasom. I worked under him assisting him with his customers. Part of my training with my job was to ride with him for a day. He was getting phone calls all day long from colleagues at other companies and every person whether their name was Jackie, Laura, Lisa, whatever... he would call them "Jack, Laur, Lis"
The conversations were so genuine, I could tell he had great relationships with these people. A colleague of ours at Novasom, Kathy said today- Bud made people feel really special. That is what made me think of that day I rode with him. Bud will be missed. He had a great sense of humor and I loved his accent.

I am so sorry about the loss. I am so saddened with the news. Bud was a co-worker of mine and made such an impact on me as my boss and friend. While I only knew Bud for a little more than a year, he made me feel like I had known him years. He had such an infectious personality that always made me have a good laugh with him. I am just completely devistated to hear of this news. Bud and started working together over 5 years ago at NovaSom. We started out as co-worker's and quickly became like brothers. Bud's infectious smile and demeanor would light up the room. To be a part of his short life and to watch him grow as a man and even more so to watch him grow as one of the best father's ive seen, i truly feel blessed.
