Ethel W. Spellman, age 95, of Mars, formerly of New York City, died Saturday morning, December 3, 2016, at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born in New York City on December 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Treherne FitzRandolph.

Ethel had worked as a phone company secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice J. Spellman, who died on November 16, 1994 and by a brother, Frederick FitzRandolph and sister, Frances Cobb.

Her family was her life and enjoyment. She was the beloved mother of Alice Carlino of Mars and Robert Spellman (Diane) of Franklin Park. She had a special love for her grandchildren, Deana, David (Ann), Robert (Kristen), Richard (Krysten) and Michael, and for her great grandchildren, David, Timothy, Hanna, Emily, James and Alyssa.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.  A Blessing Service will follow at 8:00 PM at the funeral home, with Fr.
