Leona D. Bungo, age 90, of Gibsonia, formerly of Oro Valley, AZ and Cleveland, OH, died Monday morning, October 3, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born in Buffington, Fayette County, PA on May 4, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Sponar Surniak.

Leona had attended St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Twp.

Surviving are a son, Michael J. Bungo and his wife, Shirlene, of Gibsonia, PA, a daughter, JoAnn Stoyka and her husband, Michael of Hackettstown, N.J., her grandchildren, Tayler, Caitlin, Michael and Denise, two brothers, Leo Surniak and his wife, Janet and Walter Surniak, both in Massachusetts, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bungo, who she married on August 1, 1953, and who died on June 13, 2011, and by her siblings, Nora Ellis, Mary Volpe, and Nora, John and Edward Surniak.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Twp., PA.
