Jeanne E. Brooks, age 89, of Gibsonia, formerly of Mars and Lady Lake, FL.,  passed away Sunday morning, June 19, 2016 at her home in the Village of St. Barnabas.

She was born on January 1, 1927 in Ellwood City, PA.

Jeanne had been a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars for 17 years and was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church and New Life Presbyterian Church in Leesburg, FL. She currently attended Faith Community Christian Church at St. Barnabas.

Jeanne was a member of the Mars V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary.

Surviving are four daughters, Linda James (Tommy) of Cedar Grove, N.J., Marcia Brooks Norton (Greg) of Mars, Candice Wallingford of Honesdale, PA and Dawn Wilbern (John) of Evans City,  also 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, her nephew, Darrel Kearns and her loving cat, “Puffy”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. “Bud” Brooks, who she married on December 30, 1947 and who died on June 2, 2004, by a son, Robert E. Brooks, by a daughter, Jodi Brooks, by a grandson, Teddy Wallingford and by a brother, Frank Kearns. 

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM. Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
