William B. "Bill" Gracie, age 81, of Mars, passed away on Saturday afternoon, June 24, 2023 at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 8, 1941, he was the son of the late Francis B. and Katherine Hoeltzman Gracie.
Bill was a truck driver for Vogel Disposal.
He was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church and was a member and Past Master of John E. Mair Lodge 729, F. & A.M.
In 1969 he bought a cottage at Henry's Bend near Oil City, as a catalyst for keeping family together. He loved spending time on the river and riding his Harley-Davidson.
Bill was a social member of the Mars V.F.W., a member of the PNA-Polish National Association. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and NASCAR and belonged to the Fryburg Sportsman's Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Gracie-King (Matt) of Cranberry Twp., a son, Scott B. Gracie (Megan) of Penn Twp., his grandchildren, Morgan Pyer and Hayden, Landen and Parker Gracie and sister, Esther Jean Koetke (Richard) of New Castle, and his grandpuppy, "Puppy".
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Miller Gracie, who he married on January 21, 1964 and who died on February 9, 2016.
Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Rd. Mars, PA 16046 on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Peter deVries, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Church Cemetery. Memorials in his memory may be made to Old Union Church. Members of John E. Mair Lodge 729 F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic Services on Tuesday at 7:30 PM. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
