William B. Sloan, Jr.

William B. Sloan, Jr., age 80, of Middlesex Twp., Valencia, passed away on Thursday afternoon, August 10, 2023 at Rochester Manor in Rochester, PA.

Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on May 5, 1943, he was the son of the late William B. and Nancy Wells Sloan, Sr.

He attended Point Park College.

Bill had been the Middlesex Township Zoning Officer for many years and had previously worked for IBM.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna Louise Sloan-Barry (James) of Ambridge, a son, Christopher Sloan in Michigan, his grandchildren, Lillian Louise and Isla Mae Sloan and two step-sons, Bryan DeHart (JoAnn Echtler) of Middlesex Twp., and Benjamin “Jamie” DeHart (Jenny) of Pittsburgh and two step grandchildren, Mara and Finn DeHart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene D. Cricks Sloan, who he married on February 14, 1987 and who died on January 19, 2021.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glade Run Cemetery, Middlesex Twp., PA. Memorials may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd. Renfrew, PA 16053.
