Stanley C. Garver, age 89, of North East, PA, formerly of Portersville, died on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Independence Court of Erie.
Born in Dutch Hill, PA on December 6, 1931, he was the son of the late William Clair and Esther Jones Garver.
A 1949 graduate of Parker High School, Stanley retired as a foreman from Goss Inc. in Glenshaw, PA after 39 years of service.
He proudly served as a CPL in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was past commander for the Mars American Legion – Post 787.
Surviving are his three daughters, Kathy Garver of Mars, Marsha (Neal) Garver Cridge of Gibsonia, and Laurie Ann (Michael) Kelley of North East, PA; a granddaughter, Amanda Rose Kelley of Erie, two great-grandchildren, Everett and Dalton Langer-Williamson, and a sister, Vivian Mieri of Beaver Falls.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Leona Rumbarger Garver, who he married on October 20, 1956 and died on January 7, 2004, as well as four brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Greenfield Baptist Church, 9028 Williams Rd, North East, PA 16428. A graveside service with military honors will be on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Mars Cemetery.
