Obituary

Sarah C. “Sally” Brim, age 81, formerly of Troy Hill and Upper St. Clair, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 4, 2023, at the Reformed Presbyterian Home in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George William and Sarah Campbell Davis, Jr.

Sally loved Pittsburgh, her friends, her family and above all, Jesus. She was devoted to spreading the Gospel with many she met along the way. Reading God's word and talking to Him in prayer was the priority of her everyday life. She was a prayer warrior. She also enjoyed gardening and finding a good swing to swing on. She believed age to be a mere number and lived her life in the spirit of seizing every moment. 

Sally and her late husband, Rev. Robert Brim were the Founders of the Faith Baptist Church in Mars and the Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Etna.

She was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church (the Log Church) in Pittsburgh.

Surviving are her son, Rev. Frank W. Brim (Darla) of Pantego, TX and Brazil, her daughter, Bethany Hill (Mike) of Raleigh, N.C., four grandchildren, Campbell, Caitlinn, Sofia and Stefan Brim and a sister, Linda Smith of Palm Harbor, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert L. Brim, who she married on July 31, 1965 and who died on April 5, 2002, by a grandson, Kevan Hill and by her sister, Patricia Linden and a brother, William Davis.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars,  PA on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Hilltop Baptist Church, 1540 Roseberry St. Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Twp., PA Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse (Samaritan.org) or Fellowship Tract League (fellowshiptractleague.org).
