Samuel J. "Sam" Weber, Sr. Obituary

Samuel J. “Sam” Weber, Sr., age 95, of Coraopolis, formerly of Richland Twp. and Transfer, PA,  passed away on Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023 at West Hills Health and Rehab after a short illness.

Born in McKees Rocks, PA on June 6, 1927, he was the son of Samuel and Mary Ernholfer Weber.  Sam was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Porter and Emma Curley and by his brothers, John, William, Albert and Robert Weber.

He had served as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy during W.W. II.

He was the superintendent for Dunbar Slag in Wheatland, PA for many years.

He was a member of St. Malachy Roman Catholic Church in McKees Rocks and former member of Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills.

Sam enjoyed playing cards and was especially fond of slots at the casinos.

Surviving are two sons, Samuel J. Weber, Jr. and his wife, Susan and Gary Michael Weber, both of Coraopolis and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores J. “Dee” Weber, who he married on August 18, 1951 and who died on September 14, 2017.

A private family viewing was held at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. in Mars, PA and a Mass of Christian Burial was held in Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills with burial following in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Allegheny Valley School, 1992 Ewings Mill Rd.
