Ruth H. Wilson, age 87, of Middlesex Twp., Valencia, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 25, 2026 at Concordia of Cranberry.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Sue E. Haigh McCracken.
Ruth started working as a bookkeeper for Armour Meat Packing in Crafton, as a baker at North Star Cheese in Richland Twp. and as a mail carrier for the Valencia Post Office. For many years she also assisted on the family farm milking cows. She had been a member and treasurer for the Butler County Farm Bureau.
She was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church and the Valencia Historical Society.
Surviving are four daughters, Amy Lynn Andler (Chuck) of Renfrew, Donna Lee Wilson of Middlesex Twp., Julie Diane Whiting (Austin) of Edinburg, PA and Melissa Sue Miller (Justin) of Middlesex Twp., a son, Mark S. Wilson of Middlesex Twp., 13 grandchildren, 5 and 1/2 great grandchildren and a sister, Elizabeth Jasick (Tom) in Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Wilson, who she married on September 7, 1974 and who died on December 23, 2017, by a sister, Lois E. Platts and by a brother, William A. McCracken, Jr.
Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 4-7 PM. Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St. Valencia, PA 16059. Rev. Lee Scott, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in Glade Run Cemetery, Middlesex Twp., PA. Memorials may be made to the Butler County Farm Bureau, c/o Linda Halstead, 134 Glade Mill Rd. Saxonburg, PA 16056.
