Ruth E. (Herb) Frey

Ruth E. Frey, age 78, of Indiana Twp., PA passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 6, 2020 in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

Born in Butler, PA on September 23, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Romaine Fredley Herb, II.

Ruth had owner and operated Ruth E. Frey Development Company and Ruth E. Frey Real Estate, but she was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She had been a member of Glade Run Presbyterian Church, but most recently East Union Presbyterian Church.

She loved cruising, especially the Caribbean and Alaska.

Surviving are her daughters,  Sheri Schweiger (Jack) of Harmony and Wanda Blackwell (Jeff) of Gibsonia, her sons, Courtney Frey (Sue) of Gillette, Wyoming and Barry Frey (Cheryl) of Evans City, her stepsons, Vernon A. Frey (Susan) of Sarver and Terry Frey (Tracy) of Bakerstown, a step-daughter-in-law, Pat Frey in Indiana State, a brother, Gary Herb of Middlesex Twp., five grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and 14 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon G. Frey, who died on October 15, 1994, by a brother, Victor Herb, III., and two step-sons, Darryl and Randy Frey.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Rev. James Ramsey, will officiate. Burial will be in Glade Run Cemetery, Middlesex Twp., PA. Memorials may be made to East Union Presbyterian Church Youth Group, 292 E. Union Rd.
