Obituary

Ronald J. Filipiak, age 79, of Cranberry Twp., passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Born in Hamburg, N.Y. on August 25, 1943, he was the son of the late Theodore and Dorothy Dryja Filipiak.

Ron had been a coal mine and construction equipment sales rep for Rudd Equipment Company in Leetsdale for 40 years, spending 10 years of those years as a Branch Vice-President and most recently sold tractors for West Central Equipment in Butler.

He served in the United States Army and was of the Catholic Faith. He loved farming and riding tractors.

Surviving are four daughters, Denise Hein (Wm. "Shannon") of Buffalo, N.Y., Traci Ryan (Jeffrey) of Grand Island, N.Y., Kathryn Stonfer (Nathan) of Fombell and Kristina Airgood (Thomas) of Mars, a son, Ronald J. Filipiak, Jr. of Buffalo, his grandchildren, Winter, Olivia R., Olivia A., Piper, Sofia, Declan and Cecelia, a brother, Gary Filipiak (Jean) of Hamburg, N.Y., and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Markey Filipiak, who he married on May 26, 1984 and who died on February 12, 2019.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 4-7 PM. Funeral Services will be private.  Entombment will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Twp., PA. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
