Robert L. "Bob" Lambert

Robert L. Lambert, age 72, of Mars, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, January 3, 2021 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Mars, PA on February 21, 1948, he was the son of the late Roy and Florence Brandt Lambert.

He had served in the United State Army from 1968-71, during the Vietnam War.

Bob was a chemical mixer at MSA/BASF in Callery, PA for 37 years before retiring in 2010.

He was very active in Mars Area Recreational Sports, serving as President and a coach for many years.  He also had served as the Commissioner of Butler County Youth Football.  Bob was also active in local racing, fielding a car at Lernerville Speedway and supporting his son, grandsons' and granddaughter's efforts.  He was also a member of the Mars Rod & Gun Club, as well as West View Sportsman's Club. Bob was a Life Member of Mars V.F.D., now Adams Area Fire District.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Lambert.  Surviving are his wife, Diana Hardt Lambert who he married on December 21, 1968, a brother, William (Diane) Lambert of Mars, a sister, Diane (John) Ciafre of Renfrew, a daughter, Laurie Lambert (Chris Newcamp) of Mars, a son, Robert "Butch" (Robyn) of Valencia, his grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Melissa, Chase, Cameron and Madison.  Great-grandchildren Myleigh and Ellie., nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law, Annette Hardt of Gibsonia and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Hardt of Prospect.
