Robert Bruce McCurdy, age 74, of Seven Fields, passed away on Thursday morning, May 2, 2024 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 13, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert George and Betty Baker McCurdy.
Bob had been an Insurance Agent for Kemper and CSC Insurance in Pittsburgh.
Bruce had many interests - music, books, beach vacations, his Saab, and sports. He followed both professional sports and any team his grandchildren were on. Above all, he loved his family. With Julia, he enthusiastically supported his children and grandchildren. He will be missed, and his words, "everything is copacetic," live on.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Julia G. Sahli McCurdy, who he married on July 14, 1973, two sons, Chris McCurdy (Kim) of Seven Fields and Todd McCurdy (Jennifer) of Bakerstown, his grandchildren, Chad (18), Brad (13), Kiley (13), Ella (12) and Lily (10) McCurdy and his sister, Carolyn Erickson of Patzcuaro, Mexico.
Arrangements are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA and condolences may be placed at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
