Robert E. Stanford

Robert E. Stanford, age 83, of Zelienople, Jackson Twp., passed away on Sunday morning, December 4, 2022 at the Grove at Harmony.

Born in Sewickley, PA on July 17, 1939, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Bertha Henrietta Safreed Stanford.

Robert had served in the United States Navy during peacetime.

He had been an aircraft inspector for U.S. Air for 33 years.and was a member of the Machinist's Union.

Surviving are his daughter, Denise Shostak (Russell) of Pell City, Alabama, his granddaughters, Caitlin Lotz (Andrew) and Melissa Shostak and a brother, Edward Stanford (Carol) in South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carla B. Sauer Stanford, who he married on July 4, 1986 and who died on February 22, 2018 and by his brother, James Stanford.

There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service in the Chapel at Holy Savior Cemetery in Richland Twp. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
