Robert H. Lytle, Sr., age 80, of Mars, formerly of Zelienople and Economy Boro, passed away Tuesday morning, January 23, 2018 at home.
Born in Canonsburg, PA on March 25, 1937, he was a son of the late William and Margaret Henry Lytle.
Robert had been a service man for Columbia Gas and then was an Anglican Deacon with St. Thomas in the Fields Anglican Church in Gibsonia.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a Life Member of the Economy Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of Dallas Lodge #231 F. & A.M. in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie McClelland Lytle, who he married on June 30, 1962, a son, Robert Lytle, Jr. and his wife, Robin of Mars, a daughter, Lorraine Kristyak (Daniel) of Hatfield, PA, his grandchildren, Robbie Jay Rossick, Joseph Rausch, Maegen McClintock, Jennifer Lytle and Amanda Lytle, a great grandson, Owen Lytle and a sister, Janet Pallaria of Canonsburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Lytle.
Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas in the Fields Anglican Church, 4106 St. Thomas Drive, Gibsonia, PA 15044 with Fr. Ron Baillie, celebrant. Please meet at the church.
