Robert H. Anderson

Robert H. Anderson, age 63, of Mars, formerly of Wexford, tragically passed away while mountain biking in North Park on Tuesday evening, June 18, 2024.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 24, 1961, he was the son of the late Mary Ann Anderson Rabick and the late Richard Anderson.

He graduated high school at Sewickley Academy and received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a second B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock University.

Bob was a beloved Health and Physical Education Teacher for nearly 20 years at Central Catholic High School.

An extremely avid mountain biker, he also loved to hike, camp and backpack.

He attended North Way Christian Community in Wexford.

An animal lover, he especially loved his dog, Bo.

Surviving are his daughters, Paige Anderson and Brooke Anderson, and her fiancée, Joseph Bostic, all of Charleston, S.C., his girlfriend, Bernadette Petrillo of Mars and his former spouse, Beth Anderson of Charleston, S.C.

Friends are invited to a Celebration of Bob’s life at North Way Christian Community, 12121 Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090 on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15237, to the North Way Community Church for the benefit of the ministries for men, or Adventuremen Ministries at adventuremen.org.
