Reta C. Tommaney

Reta C. Tommaney, age 88, of Mars, formerly of Middlesex Twp., passed away on Tuesday morning, January 28, 2020 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Fair Haven, VT, on January 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Merrill and Rose Marjorie Martineau Curren.

A homemaker, Reta enjoyed bowling with the Mars Senior League.

Surviving are three daughters, Sheila Pappas (Mickey) of Mars, Linda Bridger (Stephen) of Saegertown, PA, and Kathleen Tommaney of Mars, two sons, Timothy Tommaney (Tina) of Export and Kevin Tommaney (Tiffany) of Saegertown, PA. Her 9 grandchildren, Jessica, Vanessa, Jordyn, Marshall, Lacey, Todd, Katie, Zara and Zaiden, twelve great grandchildren and a sister, Elaine Sommo of Glens Falls, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Tommaney, who she married on May 8, 1955 and who died on March 13, 2019 and by three sisters, Mary Baccei, Lois Johnson and Merle Ross.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday from 6-8 PM.  Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp., PA.
