Raymond E. Pfeifer, Jr.

Raymond E. Pfeifer, Jr., age 77, of Mars, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 28, 2024 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 8, 1946, he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Wilma Painter Pfeifer, Sr.

Ray was a steel buyer for Edgewater Steel in Oakmont.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Saxonburg V.F.W. Post 7376 and the Butler American Legion Post 117.

Surviving are his wife, Arlene L. Lotzbire Pfeifer, whom he married on August 25, 1973, by three sisters, Sandy Mickey and her husband, Jim, and Lisa and Lori Pfeifer, a brother, Lance Pfeifer and his wife, Leslie, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 1-4:00 PM. Services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. William Gilligan, pastor of the Nixon United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Twp. Memorials may be made to Vietnam Veterans Association at vva.org.
