Paula Logue Obituary

Paula Joan (Kelly) Logue, age 87, originally of East Liberty and formerly of Mars and West Deer, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at St. Barnabas Health System in Gibsonia. Paula was born on December 10, 1936 and was a 1954 graduate of St. Paul’s Cathedral High School. Prior to homemaking, Paula worked at Bell Telephone as a telephone operator for five years.

Paula married the love of her life, the late Gerald “Jerry” Logue, on September 5, 1959 with whom she created a beautiful life and shared many fond memories for 64 years; they are now reunited after his passing two months ago. Paula was a member of Saint Victor Church - Our Lady of the Lakes Parish for decades.

Paula is survived by her three devoted daughters, Denise (Dean) Leonhard of Mars, Sharon (Mark) Cassler of Glenshaw, and Kelly (Jeff) Stuckley of West Deer; her five grandchildren, Nicholas (Rachael) Leonhard of Mars, Dana Leonhard of Mars, Ryan Cassler of Bellevue, and Olivia Stuckley of Tarentum; her three great-grandchildren, Kendall and Clark Leonhard and Owyn Cassler; as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Paul and Rose Marcella “Marcie” (Sangl) Kelly, Paula was preceded in death by her husband, sister and best friend Elizabeth “Betty” (the late Donald) Fisher, brothers Terrence and Kenneth (Barbara) Kelly, as well as her beloved grandson, Jeffrey Stuckley.

As her brother-in-law Paul Logue lovingly gave her the nickname “Miss Information” during her time at Bell Telephone, Paula thoroughly enjoyed socializing and talking with others, asking meaningful questions and genuinely caring about and recalling countless details and stories. Her family and friends frequently turned to her as a constant encyclopedia of knowledge. Paula was a natural caretaker, was unafraid to share her thoughts or feelings, and always fought for what was right. She loved reading, playing cards, completing crossword puzzles and word searches, watching game shows, and spending time with her family and friends.

Paula’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the St. Barnabas Health System and Hospice employees for their time and assistance with her care.
