Paul A. Yockel, Sr.

Paul A. Yockel, Sr., age 84, of Richland Twp., Gibsonia, passed away on Tuesday evening, April 30, 2024 at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 12, 1939, he was the son of the late Robert and Eleanor Altman Yockel.

Paul had worked in construction for the Laborer's Union in Pittsburgh.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member and served on the Honor Guard at Mars V.F.W. Post 7505.

Surviving are two daughters, Chris Zuratovic of Conway and Kimberly Simonetti (Vincent) of Allison Park, a son, James Yockel (Daniell) of Gibsonia, his grandchildren, Rich Yockel (Marybeth) of Sarasota, FL., Cheyanne and Steven Zuratovic of Conway, Jimmy Yockel of Gibsonia, Sydne Compo (Nathan) of McDonald, PA and Bryanna Simonetti of Allison Park, his sister, Mary Tewell of Williamsport, two brothers, Howard Yockel in Pittsburgh and Rich Yockel in Ohio, his brother-in-law, James Waldron (Karin) of Pittsburgh and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia King Yockel, who died on July 31, 2018, by a son, Paul A. Yockel, Jr., and by his siblings, Robert, Marcella, Thelma, Clyde, Wilma and Elizabeth.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars,  PA on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 4-8 PM. A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Military Honors will follow. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp.
