Pastor Jack Arthur Werth

June 7, 1953 - September 15, 2023

Jack was the oldest son of Arthur Jackson (Jack) Werth and Dorothy Jean Schomburger Werth, born in Pittsburgh, PA. 

He married his wife, Rayna Ervin, in 1975 and they have four children. Rebecca (Dave-deceased) Cook, Sarah (Brad) Spade, Jared Werth, and Matthew (Laurie) Werth. He also has six grandchildren, dear to his heart, Makaylah, Ian and Christopher Cook, Levi Spade, Henry and Luke Werth. He also is survived by his mother Dorothy Werth, and his siblings, Karen Werth, Mark (Peggie-deceased) Werth, and Carol (Ken) Finley, and many nieces and nephews.

At the age of twelve, he felt called by the LORD to preach. He was given many opportunities at the Light of Life Mission and at his home church to preach the Word of God. After graduating from Hampton High School, he went to Arlington Baptist College, Arlington, TX to prepare for the ministry. He graduated in 1975 as the Valedictorian of his class. He became the pastor of Liberty Baptist Church Reformed, in 1984 and remained there until his death. Many of his sermons are archived at www.lbref.org for you to listen to. 

Friends and Family will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Avenue, Mars, PA 16046 on Tuesday, September 19,2023 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. with C.J.
