O. Yvonne (Stuart) Fleming

O. Yvonne Fleming, age 86, of Mars, passed away on Thursday morning, December 1, 2022 at St. Barnabas Nursing Home in Gibsonia.

Born in Person County, N.C. on April 19, 1936, she was the daughter of McKinley and Mabel Martin Stuart.

Yvonne had been a home care companion at St. Barnabas Health System and had also worked in the print shop at SAE.

She had attended LifePointe Alliance Church in Mars.

She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was very active and youthful and had a fondness for walking and gardening.

Surviving are her daughter, Janet Forsythe Crayton of Mars, her son, Lewis Forsythe of Chesterfield County, VA, her granddaughters, Stephanie Crowe (Alan) and Jamie Etzel (Dr. Andrew), her great grandchildren, Aiden and Mariah Pauling and Aubree Thompson. Also survived by her sisters, Joyce Custalow of Richmond, VA, Linda Eckman (William) of Valencia, Pearl Davidson of Lower Burrell and Kathy Sauers (Robert) of Gibsonia, her brother, Roscoe Stuart (Marie) of Chesterfield County, VA and nieces and nephews and her step-daughter, Suzanne Ramella (Gary) of Ruskin, FL and her step-sons, John Fleming (Jeannie) and G. Michael Fleming (Jen), both of Mars.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Arthur “Art” Fleming, who she married on June 29, 1984 and who died on August 11, 1997 and by her brothers, Bryce and Raymond Stuart.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Paul Cope, officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, North Park. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Association.
