Maurice "Dick" Thomas

Maurice “Dick” Thomas, age 87, of Valencia, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry Twp.

Born in Seattle, WA on April 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Maurice J. and Mildred Dickens Thomas

Dick  had been an educator and principal for Mount Lebanon School District.

A member of Ruthfred Lutheran Church, he had been a faithful follower of Christ.

He loved camping and traveling.

Surviving are his children, Susan (Roger) Park of Middlesex Twp., Ellen Lynn (Michael) Schramm in Maryland, and Edward Locke Thomas of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Karen Liske in Texas and Jeremy (Michael) Connolly in Michigan; his eight grandchildren, Katie, Collin, Michael, John, Shannon, Heather, Brittany, and Courtney; his five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Olivia, Lexi, James, and Gavin; and the mother of his children, Joanne Grubbs.

Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Good Thomas and his son, Maurice Stephen (surviving Pam in TX) Thomas.

A private family service will be held. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Twp., PA.  Arrangements under the direction of McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA.
