Mary Kay (Makar) Graziano
August 15, 1940 ~ February 10, 2024 (age 83) 83 Years Old
In loving memory of Mary Kay Makar Graziano, a cherished soul whose life's journey graced us from August 15, 1940, until she peacefully departed this world on February 10,2024. She now joins her beloved parents, Frank and Valeria Makar, her devoted husband, Bruno M. Graziano, and her son-in-law, Timothy McCrackin, in eternal rest.
Mary Kay leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her dear son, Bob (Cindy) Graziano of Naples, FL, and her loving daughter, Jill Graziano McCrackin, of Gibsonia (Treesdale), PA. She found immense joy and pride in the presence of her wonderful grandchildren: Ava Marie Graziano, a dedicated senior at Louisiana State University, and Michael Graziano, a freshman and talented baseball player at Georgia Tech.
Mary Kay’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life, as a faithful parishioner of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Cranberry Twp., PA, and previous affiliations with St. Cecilia in Glassport, St. Angela Merici in White Oak, and St. Thomas More in Upper St. Clair.
Her life’s journey was also marked by academic excellence, graduating from Mount Mercy Academy in 1958, and later earning her degree from Duquesne University in 1962. She was a longstanding member of the McKeesport College Club, a vibrant presence at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association (where she loved to bowl under the moniker "Pink Striker”), and a member of the Southpointe Golf Club.
In her final chapter, Mary Kay was surrounded by love and care. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Mary Kay's dear friends and the dedicated staff at Atria Senior Living, whose friendship and kindness brought her joy in her last year. Special thanks are also extended to her doctors and the compassionate caregivers from AHN Hospice, for their unwavering support and loving care. Though Mary Kay may have bid farewell to this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by her grace, kindness, charm, and enduring love. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
In honoring Mary Kay Makar Graziano's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to AHN Hospice in lieu of flowers. Your generous contributions will not only honor Mary Kay's legacy, but also support the compassionate care provided by hospice services, providing comfort and dignity for others during their time of need. Your heartfelt donations will serve as a lasting tribute to Mary Kay's spirit of love and compassion.
