Mary Ann (Gezzi) Doughty

Mary Ann Gezzi Doughty, age 74, of Penn Twp., Butler, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, January 10, 2023.

Born in Russellton, PA on September 30, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ann Simonetti Gezzi.

Mary Ann had worked as a Teller at Bakerstown Savings and Loan and Northwest Bank and later was a secretary for Hampton Twp.

She was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills.

Surviving are her husband, William J. Doughty, who she married on October 13, 1973, her daughter, Colleen Patton (Bradley) of Gibsonia, the light of her life, her beloved grandson, Connor Patton, her sister, Louise Scopel (Edward) of Allison Park, her brother, Michael Gezzi of West Deer and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Hont, Gloria Yaconis and Thelma Micklow.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the staff at Bridges Hospice and to her Peace at Home caregiver, Kat, for their excellent care.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 5-8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Rd. Butler, PA 16002 on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Please meet at the church. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Deer Creek Cemetery in Cheswick.
