Mary C. Hanovick, age 94, of Mars, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, November 2, 2022, at Valencia Woods.

Born on the family farm in Adams Twp. on July 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Yolanda Retrovata Molinaro.

Mary had worked as the housekeeper at Mars Medical Clinic for Dr. Rubio for 30 years.

She loved gardening and working in her yard. Mary especially loved playing cards and going to the casino.  The daily number was a favorite.  She adored spending time with her granddaughters. They adored her and lovingly gave her the name Gaga, which soon became what she was affectionately called, by all those who knew her.

She was a member of St. Kilian Church.

Surviving are her sons, John Hanovick and his wife, Ann and Randy Hanovick and his wife, Suzanne, both of Mars, her two granddaughters, Emily Gasse and her husband, Lucien of Mars and Abby Harting and her husband, Drew of Avon, Ohio, her great grandchildren, Henrik, Leo and Beau Harting and Pascal Gasse. Also surviving are two sisters, Christina Swartz of Kittanning and Grace Kolander-Shaw (Ralph) of Penn Twp. Also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hanovick, who died on June 25, 1979, her sisters, Rose Acquavita and Helen Molinaro and her brothers, Raymond, Adam, Joe and Tony Molinaro.

Friend will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Monday at 10:30 AM. Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
