Marian J. (Marshall) Gregory

Marian J. Gregory, age 95, of Valencia, formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Arbors of Valencia Woods.

Born in Gary, Indiana on May 25, 1930, she was the daughter of Sidney and Beatrice Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Gregory, Jr., by a son, William A. Gregory, III, by her sisters, Lillian, Rhodora (Dody) and Mary Ordog and brother, Thomas.

Survived by her son, Paul T. Gregory who was devoted to her care. Grandmother (Nanoo) to Michael, Erin and Laura and great granddaughters, McKinley, Maggie and Mia Gregory and her daughter-in-law, Kristi, who was always there when she needed a helping hand.

Marian was a secretary to an executive at U.S. Steel when she met her husband who had just received his Master’s Degree and had been accepted into the Training Accounting Program. He would eventually become the manager of the U.S. Steel Foundation until his retirement.

Marian worked as a volunteer at KDKA Radio for ten years in their Call for Action program after her two sons were grown. The phones were open for an hour each day. Greatful callers with a problem would call and get some direction that lead to a conclusion.

She and her husband were avid golfers and had belonged to the Youghiogheny Country Club and after retirement they spent their winters in Florida. She was a talented oil painter and enjoyed sewing
