Margaret "Peggy" (Bent) Fleissner

Margaret Amelia Fleissner (maiden name: Bent), known affectionately by her friends and family as Peggy, passed away on March 19, 2022 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Peggy was born on April 12, 1930 in Needham, Massachusetts to Margaret and William Bent. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Jim, Russell, and Walter Bent. Her husband of 49 years, Donald Joseph Fleissner also preceded her in death on July of 2008.  Peggy and Don married on August 2nd, 1958 and had one daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Ann Nuhfer, her son-in-law Rodney Nuhfer, and seven grandchildren, Ansley Adams (and her husband Colby Adams), Mandy Sutton (and husband Bryan Sutton), Stephanie Case (and her husband Justin Case), Carter Wyatt, Joshua Nuhfer (and his fiancée Megan Novack-Winter), Josiah Nuhfer (and his wife Alyssa Nuhfer), and Marissa Nuhfer. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Eli Sutton, Noah Sutton, Russell Sutton, Margaret Case, and Mattis Case.

Peggy Fleissner was a beloved grandmother, mother, friend and neighbor in Mars, Pennsylvania where she spent her married years with her husband, Don.

Her memory will forever be preserved in the pieces of artwork she and he created with love for their family and friends over the years. These handmade treasures will act as reminders of Peggy’s unending kindness and creativity in the households of those who knew her and loved her. She had a loving heart, a great sense of humor, and a generous nature that made her a truly wonderful person to know. She will be missed tremendously by all those who knew and loved her.  

Her memorial service will be held on Tuesday  May 10, 2022 at Mars Cemetery at 10:30 AM.
