M. Jean (Lund) Boice

M. Jean Boice, age 89, of Penn Twp., Renfrew, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Quality Life Services in Sarver.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 9, 1934, Jean was the daughter of the late Peter A. and Margaret Jane Shaw Lund.

Jean was a postal clerk at the Valencia Post Office for 22 ½ years and 33 years at Mars Post Office.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mars and volunteered with the Salvation Army for 18 years in Florida.

Surviving are a son, Jeffrey S. Boice (Cindy) of Mars, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. “Jack” Boice, who she married on January 11, 1954 and who died on November 29, 2023, by two sons, Gary J. Boice and Dennis J. Boice and by two sisters, Ruth Zank and Betty Netzer.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 PM. Service and burial in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp. will be private. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
