Louise E. (Black) Vigue

Louise E. Vigue, age 89, a longtime resident of Valencia, PA, formerly of South Side, Pittsburgh, passed away on Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2025 at Family Hospice in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late David and Eleanor Maers Black.

Louise had been a postal worker at the Bulk Mail Center in Warrendale for many years.

She was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at St. Kilian Church and was a member of APWU-the American Postal Worker’s Union.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean Broge (Anne) in Ohio, two sons, Robert Vigue, Jr. in Valencia and Steven Vigue (Eva) in Florida, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and her brother, David Black of Robinson Twp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vigue, Sr., a son, Brian Vigue and a daughter, Barbara Ruth Jordan.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Thursday at 9:30 AM with Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Oil City, PA on Thursday at 2:00 PM.
