Lorita M. "Midge" (McCombs) Michel

Lorita M. “Midge” Michel, age 94, of Forward Twp., Evans City, passed away on Monday evening, February 10, 2025 at Providence of Wexford.

Born in Butler, PA on April 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Larry and Rita Spurlak McCombs.

A homemaker, Midge was a member, former Deacon and had taught Bible School for several years at Old Union Presbyterian Church in Mars.

Surviving are a daughter, Diana Bailey (Edward) of Wexford, two sons, Dale Michel (Barbara) of Mars and Douglas Michel (Rose Green) of Weare, N.H., her grandchildren, Alison Farmer (Ben), Steven Michel and Melissa Schmidt (Tim), and her great grandchildren, Henry and Gus Farmer and Gemma Schmidt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard S. Michel, who passed away on February 26, 1999 and by a brother, Larry McCombs and a sister, Shirley Kline.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 3-7 PM. Services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Rd. Mars, PA 16046, with Rev. Peter deVries, officiating. A luncheon will follow the service. Private entombment will be in the Zelienople Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Old Union Presbyterian Church.
