Lisa M. Simakas, age 58, of Gibsonia, Adams Twp., formerly of McCandless Twp., passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 12, 1966, she was the daughter of Nancy Remaley.
Lisa was a member of Orchard Hill Church in Wexford and Treesdale Golf & Country Club. She was a graduate of La Roche University.
Surviving is her husband, Greg Simakas, who she married on October 30, 1993, her daughter, Paige Simakas of Dallas, TX, her son, Justin Simakas and his fiancée, Eden Fletcher of Allison Park, her mother, Nancy Remaley of Oakmont, and her aunt Donna Gillette of Safety Harbor, FL. Also surviving Lisa are her stepsisters Becky (John) Miceli, Sue (Eddie) Marinzel and stepbrother Paul Remaley. Lisa also left behind her cherished cats Nala and Wynnie.
Lisa's beautiful elegance was only surpassed by the radiance of her kind and compassionate soul. Lisa was a devoted mother and wife, whose unwavering love and support formed the foundation of her family. Lisa's deep Christian faith provided her the assurance that our brief time on this Earth is, but a moment compared to the glorious eternity awaiting her.
Lisa was a fierce competitor and excelled at whatever she put her mind to. She had a lifelong passion for physical fitness and sports, ultimately, leading her to compete in various tennis leagues, run numerous marathons, and win physical fitness modeling competitions. In more recent years, Lisa had taken up golf and loved the challenge that came with learning a new sport.
She also had a keen sense of fashion and was always impeccably styled. Lisa's trick to locating beautiful outfits was to start every internet search with the word "luxury".
Lisa left a lasting impression on those that had the fortune to know her. Her infectious smile, beautiful eyes and inviting presence drew you to her. Lisa's warmth, strength and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 1-4PM and 6-9PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, 10:00AM at Orchard Hill Church, 2551 Brandt School Road, Wexford, PA 15090. A celebration of life will follow at the church.
