Linda Solich, a vibrant and extraordinary person, passed away at the age of 74, after a courageous five-year battle with ovarian cancer. Known for her vivacious spirit and readiness for adventure, Linda was a cherished figure in her communities and a devoted mother and grandmother.

Linda was born in Bolivar and raised her family in New Florence. Later in life, she divided her time between Bokeelia, FL and East Brady, PA. She touched many lives as a popular teacher, earning the admiration and affection of her students and colleagues. Linda's warmth and energy drew many friends in all the places she called home, and she was loved by all who knew her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Riggs Reed and James Reed.

Linda's devotion to her family was unparalleled. She maintained close bonds with her high school friends, college friends, and neighbors, and she took immense pride in her tight-knit family. Her grandchildren, a particular source of pride and joy for her, are all presently attending Penn State. A fact she loved to share with everyone.

Linda is survived by her husband, Doug, and her children, Ben and Courtney. Ben's family includes his wife Janna and their children, Max and Nora. Courtney's family includes her husband, Jeff, and their children, Effie and Vivian. She is also survived by her sister Kathy and her husband Julian, and her brother James and his wife Catherine.
