Lillian M. Schran Grundler, age 88, of UPMC Cranberry Place, formerly of Zelienople, passed into the Lord’s presence on Sunday morning, December 18, 2022 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy Janovich Schran.
A homemaker, Lillian was a member of the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church. She had led a bible study while at UPMC Cranberry Place.
Surviving are her daughters, Cathleen Friedl and her husband, Larry of Adams Twp. PA and Barbara Sachlehen and her husband, Roger in New York. Also 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Grundler, her daughter, Carol Grundler, her grandson, Jonathan L. Friedl, and by her three sisters, her twin-Edna Thompson, Janet Knoebel and Sherol Trunzler.
A Celebration of Lillian’s life will be held at the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church, 2662 Rochester Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM. The family will greet friends at a luncheon at the church following the service. Private family interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church for church missions.
