Leonard L. Shivler, age 87, formerly of Rochester & Chippewa Twp., PA, passed away on Friday evening, October 3, 2025 at Rose Crest Assisted Living in Mars.
Born in Rochester, PA on December 23, 1937, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary Shivler.
Leonard worked as a Director in the IBM Room at Conrail Railroad in Conway, PA for over 50 years. He served in the United States Army Reserves during the Korean War.
He loved his family, loved to golf, and really loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Father of George Kerestly (Jan) of Philadelphia and Brian Shivler (Kate) of Gibsonia. Grandfather of 4 granddaughters: Jena Clark (Ken) of Philadelphia PA, Alexandra Longo (Peter) of NYC, Halle Brem (Evan) of Ingomar PA and Audrey Shivler of Gibsonia PA. He is survived by 8 great grandchildren.
Leo is preceded in death by his first wife Mary. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Laura Shoaff Shivler, who died on September 27, 2009, by his sister, Caroline Henry and by his brother, Herman Shivler. His father, Louis, who Leo spoke of often, died during WWII and is interred east of Paris.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. Memorials in his memory may be made to Rose Crest Assisted Living Benevolence Fund, 1000 Graham Way, Mars, PA 16046.
