Leona V. (Foertsch) Wills

Leona V. Wills, age 89, of Mars, passed away on Sunday morning, November 9, 2025 in the comfort of her home.

Born in Natrona Heights, PA on August 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert J. and Dorothy Findley Foertsch.

A talented seamstress, Leona taught sewing for Singer in the 1970’s. She then worked as a cook at St. John’s Convalescent Home in Valencia, then earned a degree in Dietary Management and worked as the dietary manager at Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony and Fosnight’s in Gibsonia. She had also worked at Ruby’s Cleaners.

Leona was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Saxonburg and a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mars.

She had served on the Board of Directors of Mars Housing-Penn Mar Plaza.

Beloved mother of Doris Jean Colsey (Bud) and Faith Ann Bier (David), both of Butler, Cindy Wills of Mars, David Wills (Donna) of Butler and Christ Wills (Valerie) of Valencia, grandmother of Rachel (Chelsea), Justin, Brittany, Joshua (Samantha), Cody, Trent, David, Amanda, Shannon and Julie and great grandmother of Bennett. Sister of Mary Alice Shuler (George) and Karen Foertsch, both of Butler, Vernon Foertsch of Saxonburg, Errol Foertsch of Butler, Gary Foertsch (Barb) of Cabot and the late Adele, Marilyn, Carol, Dorothy, Harold and Wilbert. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Christ W. Wills, who she married on November 11, 1960 and who died on June 8, 2000.

A private family viewing was held at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA. Burial was in Mars Cemetery.
