Kelly Ann Henry-Helffrich, age 52, of Seven Fields was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.
Born June 23, 1969 in Pittsburgh, PA, Kelly is the beloved mother of Ryan Henry-Helffrich and daughter of Gary George Henry and Barbara Ann Cornell Henry, of Seven Fields.
A devout catholic, Kelly lived by faith. The Lord’s call to come home on Saturday was not the first call that Kelly had answered. Her true calling was to become a nurse. Not long after the birth of her beloved son, Ryan, she balanced motherhood, school and work tirelessly to answer that call. Over the past 10+ years, Kelly worked as both a triage and on-call nurse throughout the Pittsburgh area. Most recently, her time was spent caring for Hospice patients and families alike.
To family, Kelly nursed others long before. As “Mother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt,” she was the first to clean and bandage cuts, remove splinters, ice bruises, wash away tears and reassure healing, with compassion. Kelly’s unwavering faith always answered The Call to care.
In addition to her parents and son, Kelly is survived by siblings, Gary C. Henry, Amy Henry Frazao, Mark G. (Bridget) Henry and niece and nephews: Madison Henry, Nicholas Henry, Aidan Henry, Owen Henry, Logan Frazao, Zachary Henry, Jeremy Frazao, and Ian Henry. Kelly is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and former patients/families within the surrounding Pittsburgh area.
Family and Friends are invited to a memorial service in St. Kilian Catholic Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, www.givetochildrens.org/donatechp3.
