She was born on September 14, 1938 and was a 1956 graduate of Leechburg High School.  Julie graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1959 and would go on to work as an OB/GYN nurse at Monterey Hospital in California and Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, PA between 1959 and 1989. She would continue her nursing career working for Dr. Alexander Fetcho in his private practice from 1989 to 1997.  Julie was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell for 47 years until moving to Mars, PA in 2012 and becoming a parishioner of St. Mark’s the Evangelist Parish.

Julie was a devoted grandmother who loved watching and supporting her grandchildren in their various activities.  As an avid sports fan, she will be remembered for her passion and enthusiasm for all sports.  She enjoyed college basketball, Penguins hockey, and Pirates baseball.  But her greatest joy was cheering on her beloved Steelers in person for over 30 years.
