Joyce B. Groom

Joyce B. Groom, 87, of Mars, PA, passed away peacefully to join the Lord on Friday evening, November 8, 2024 with loved ones by her side.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Faith (Joseph) Morando and her four grandchildren Paul (Tracy), Alexandra (Connor), Victoria (Antonio), and Philip Morando whom were her greatest blessings. 

Joyce was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Paul T. Groom, her parents, and siblings Shirley, Georgeanna, Mina, and Charles.

Joyce had a zest for life and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, seeing her family’s pets, keeping up with the Steelers, playing the number, and enjoying her sweets! She loved deeply and always made sure her family knew how immensely proud of them she was. We are the ones who hold the most pride to be able to call her Mother and Mema.

Joyce was the embodiment of a powerful, generous, and faithful woman who set an example of unmatched strength and love for those that loved and looked up to her. She will be deeply missed by her only Baby, Boo-Boo, China Doll, Star, and Angel. 

There will be a private service for the family.

Donations in memory of Joyce can be made to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and/or Animal Friends given her passion for children and animals.
