Joseph R. Lucas

Joseph Raymond Lucas, born on December 27, 1928, in Etna, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Mars, Pennsylvania. He was 96 years old. His final moments were spent in the comforting care of his daughter Catherine.

Joseph was a devoted family man whose long life spanned nearly a century of profound change. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy P. Ford Lucas. Together, they built a life rooted in shared values and enduring commitment. 

He is survived by his son, Joseph E. Lucas; daughters Elaine Gray, Laurel Leitzel, and Catherine Baxter; grandsons William, Christopher, Lucas, Joshua, and Jonathan; and great-grandsons Owen and Carson. Joseph was also predeceased by his grandson Nathaniel.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him and joy to those who celebrate the life he lived.
