John J. "Jack" Boice

John J. “Jack” Boice, age 94, of Penn Twp., Renfrew, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 29, 2023 at Quality Life Services in Sarver.

Born in Valencia, PA on October 1, 1929, he was the son of the late E.H. and Minnie B. Owen Boice.

Jack worked as a heavy equipment operator for Brown-Vaughn Development in Pittsburgh.

He served four years in Germany in the United States Army during W.W. II and was a member of the Mars V.F.W. Post 7505

A member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mars, he was an avid golfer and fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, M. Jean Lund Boice, who he married on January 11, 1954, and by a son, Jeffrey S. Boice (Cindy) of Mars, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Gary J. Boice and Dennis J. Boice, three sisters and four brothers.

Arrangements are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA.  Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp., PA. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
