John F. Riesmeyer, age 81, of Valencia, formerly of Mars, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 7, 2025 at Cranberry Place.
Born in Evans City, PA on December 5, 1943, he was the son of the late Alfred and Regina Murray Riesmeyer.
John was a truck driver for Brown Trucking and more recently, ESM in Callery for the 24 years.
He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at St. Kilian Church.
An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of Mars V.F.W. Post 7505.
John was a past president of the Mars Baseball Association.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Nichols Riesmeyer, who he married on February 13, 1965, his son, John W. Riesmeyer (Sharon) of Mt. Lebanon, his daughter, Kimberly Kerber (James) of Olmstead Twp., Ohio, his grandchildren, Amanda, Abigail, Andrew and Annaliese Riesmeyer and Sara and Leah Kerber, his brothers, Michael Riesmeyer (Carol) of Carlisle and Richard Riesmeyer (Lisa) in S.C., his sisters, Phoebe Riesmeyer, his twin, of Jacksonville, FL., Frances Mazur (Mike) in Sewickley and Patricia Kies (Roger) in Beaver, also nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Fred and Daniel Riesmeyer and his sister, Geraldine Albert.
Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday, May 11, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Please meet at the church. Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
