John L. Clutter, Sr., age 76, of Mars, passed away on Saturday evening, November 7, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford, with his family at his side.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 7, 1944, he was the son of the late John L. and Doris Judd Clutter.
John had been the owner of Moonlight Auto Body in Mars and had later worked in the maintenance department at Seven Fields.
He was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church and had served on the Zoning Hearing Board for Mars Boro.
He was a Life Member of the Adams Area Fire District and was a Charter Member of the Mars Historical Society.
John had operated Steam Engine #7 for the Laurel Highlands Railroad.
Surviving are his wife, Christine Repine Clutter, who he married on July 18, 1970, two sons, John Lee Clutter, Jr. (Lee Ann) of Valencia and Michael Edward Repine Clutter (Michelle) of Penn Twp., a daughter, Terri Lee Parker (Ken) of Mars and his grandchildren, Rebecca, Colin, Stephen and Makayla. Also nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Clutter.
A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com. Memorials may be given to the family to assist with final expenses and for a contribution to a charity of their choice.
