Jeffrey William Krebs Sr of McCandless Twp. passed away on June 24, 2026 at the age of 68 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born on July 9, 1957 to Gilbert and Gertrude (Kuntz) Krebs in Warrendale, Pa he was a long term resident of McCandless Twp.
Jeff was a devoted and loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend to many. He leaves behind his wife Diane (Schnebelen), kids Jeffrey Jr (Kelly) and Tina and grandchildren Faith, Joseph and Ava. As well as his many nieces and nephews and great lifelong friends. Jeff embodied the true meaning of loving dedication, always putting his family's needs before his own and offering unwavering support, wisdom, laughter and love.
Jeff was known for his dedication, ingenuity, warm sense of humor, and his ability to fix or build anything. Above all else, He had a great passion and love for his family and was always there for them no matter what the circumstances.
Through out his life, Jeff had a career as a mechanical engineer at TRACO in cranberry twp for 35+ years and retired from Millwood corp. 6 years ago.
Jeff was a well known and highly respected pillar of his community. He took immense pride in being a dedicated firefighter for Highland Volunteer Fire Department for more than 16 years as well as an Allegheny County Hazmat - Silver Team member. In addition, Jeff was also a member of North Hills Masonic Lodge #716 for many years.
Whether he was camping or fishing at the lake with his family or building something in the basement, Jeff approached life with a deep curiosity and a determination to make everyone around him feel special.
He leaves behind a rich legacy of hard work, integrity, generosity, love, kindness and silly verbal expressions. While he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his spirit and legacy will continue to live on in our hearts forever.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Gertrude Krebs and brothers Wayne, Bruce, Gilbert, Donald, and Alan Krebs.
There will be a Freemason Funeral/Memorial service held on July 11, 2026 from 2-4pm at Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center – Grotto Room (3579 Masonic Way Pittsburgh, Pa 15237) Family and friends are invited to come together, share their love and favorite memories of Jeff, and celebrate a life beautifully lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation and The American Heart Association in Jeff’s memory.
