Jeanie M. (Schmiedel) Coleman

Jeanie M. Schmiedel Coleman, age 77, of West Deer Twp., Cheswick, passed away on Thursday morning, July 31, 2025 at Concordia of Cabot.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 9, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Powers Schmiedel.

Jeanie had been a nanny and also worked as the housekeeper for St. Victor's Church in Bairdford.

She had attended St. Richard's Church in Gibsonia and St. Kilian Church (St. Mark the Evangelist) in Cranberry Twp.

Surviving are a son, Thomas L. Coleman and his wife, Jessie of Arlington, VA, a daughter, Suzanne M. Coleman of Cheswick, her grandchildren, Jacob, Nicolas, Nathaniel, Miriam and Leia, a sister, Patty Rooker and her husband, Bill of Valencia, a niece, Mandy Washington (C.J.) in Texas and a nephew, Brian Rooker (Barb) of Pittsburgh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Coleman, who she married on April 11, 1970 and who died on June 23, 2018.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday from 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Monday at 10:00 AM. Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Twp., PA.
