Jay W. Shemela

Jay W. Shemela, age 65, of Penn Twp., Butler, passed away on Sunday afternoon, January 12, 2020 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, PA on May 8, 1954, he was the son of Dorothy Nicklas Shemela and the late John Shemela.

Jay was a machinist for Herr-Voss Corporation in Callery, where he worked for 42 years.

He was a member of Grace Community Church in Cranberry Twp., and the Middlesex Twp. Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are two daughters, Jenna Fatula (James) of Tega Cay, S.C. and Heather Brazell of Pgh., a son, Clayton J. Shemela of Bellevue, his grandchildren, Cameron and Carleigh Fatula and Isaah Brazell, his mother, Dorothy Nicklas Shemela of Valencia, a brother, Ronald J. Shemela (Robin) of Mars and two nieces and one nephew.

Friends will be received at Grace Community Church, 9160 Marshall Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Wednesday from 2-5 PM. Services will follow at 5:00 PM at the church, with Rev. Bob Zonts, pastor, officiating. Memorials may be made to Grace Community Church.
